Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) has completed 10 years. Now, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the government have decided that it is necessary to complete the Re-KYC process of Jan Dhan accounts. This will keep the information on bank accounts updated, and account holders will not face any problem in banking services.
If you have a Jan Dhan account, then definitely complete your Re-KYC. This will not cause any hindrance in your banking work, and you will be able to take full advantage of government schemes. Camps will also be organized by banks to complete the Re-KYC process of Jan Dhan accounts. You can do this process online or by going to the camp being organized at the panchayat level.
When will these Re-KYC camps be held?
Camps are being organized at every panchayat level for Jan Dhan accounts from 1 July 2025 to 30 September 2025. Bank employees themselves are going from village to village and completing the KYC process of Jan Dhan account holders.
In these camps, along with Re-KYC of Jan Dhan accounts, enrollment in Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), registration in Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and information and registration of Atal Pension Yojana (APY) are also being done. Along with this, the facility of financial awareness and complaint resolution is also being provided.
What is Re-KYC?
In Re-KYC, your identity and address information have to be submitted to the bank again. If your documents are old or the address has changed, then you must complete this process. The documents required for Re-KYC include identity proof like Aadhaar card, voter ID, and PAN card. Address proof, like a ration card, electricity bill, driving license, and a passport size photo, will be required.
