UKSSSC Paper Leak: The Dhami government in Uttarakhand has cancelled the graduate-level exam. This decision was taken following the report of an inquiry commission, which involved approximately 1.05 lakh candidates.

The Dhami government has cancelled the graduate-level exam of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission. The state government was awaiting the report of the single-member inquiry commission formed for this exam. The commission conducted this exam on September 21st, in which approximately 105,000 candidates participated.

Paper Leak Case Increases Students' Concerns

The recent paper leak case of the graduate-level exam in Uttarakhand has created an atmosphere of concern among students and their families. Given the seriousness of the matter, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami decided to take it seriously. He formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter, as well as a single-member inquiry commission headed by retired Justice UC Dhyani of the Uttarakhand High Court. The commission's primary objective was to conduct a thorough, impartial investigation into the paper leak and identify the culprits.

Information Gathered Through Public Interaction

The inquiry commission took its responsibility seriously. The commission organized public interactions in Dehradun, Haldwani, and several other cities across the state. During these interactions, it gathered the opinions and experiences of students, candidates, and teachers. Candidates reported that the paper leak had left them mentally distressed. Teachers and school principals also offered suggestions for appropriate action in the best interests of students. The commission prepared its report based on these suggestions and experiences.

Demand for Cancellation of the Exam

In addition to the public interactions and reports, students, their families, and political parties also demanded the cancellation of the exam. On Friday, a delegation of BJP MLAs met with Chief Minister Dhami and demanded that the exam be cancelled and a new exam be conducted in the best interests of students.
