Send Push

Randy Orton was to take on Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41 set to be held in Las Vegas this weekend, but the match was called off after ‘The Prizefighter’ injured his neck. This left ‘The Apex Predator’ without an opponent for the grand event. On the latest episode of SmackDown, he issued an open challenge to the entire locker room and the WWE Universe to fight him at WrestleMania 41. The master of the RKO also assured fans that he will be in action on Sunday, the second night of WrestleMania 41.

Fans feel that either Nick Aldis or Solo Sikoa are likely to take up the challenge given their recent interactions with the star.  However, there’s are possibility of someone we haven’t seen inside a WWE ring for quite a long time answering the challenge.

Rusev to be Randy Orton’s opponent at WrestleMania  41?

Rusev was one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE a few years ago. He made his main roster debut in 2014 and went on to emerge as a force to be reckoned with. He put on memorable matches against the likes of Randy Orton, Kalisto, and Titus O’Neil. Despite his popularity, the WWE released him as part of budget cuts stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. The stage may now be set for Rusev to return to the ‘global leader in sports entertainment.

Big E recently confirmed that the star is done with AEW, where he wrestled as Miro, and has indeed signed a contract with the WWE. As his commitments with Tony Khan’s promotion are over, he is free to return to the WWE. And, WrestleMania 41 is the ‘grandest stage of them all’ for this to happen. Moreover, the star--who was recently spotted in Las Vegas-- has feuded with Randy in the past. As such, there is some history between them. It remains to be seen whether the company goes down this route on Sunday,
