Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 27 (ANI): BRS working president and Telangana minister KTR expressed grief over the suicide of a 10th-grade student at Government Gurukul School, Vangara, and criticised Congress for not taking accountability for this incident.
In a post on X, the BRS working president expressed condolences to the family of the girl and described the incident as "heartbreaking." He also alleged that more than 100 children have died in the last two years in the Gurukul school.
"This is heartbreaking indeed. Heartfelt condolences to the family of Varshita. Truly shameful that the same Gurukul schools that did exceedingly well until 2 years ago have now come to this. More than 100 kids have died in the last 2 years. Zero empathy from the Congress Govt and zero accountability," said KTR.
Earlier, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, who is the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and the Congress government, accusing them of "deceiving every section of society" in Telangana.
He also accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of implementing "BJP-style of bulldozer governance."KTR said, "Rahul Gandhi owes an explanation to the people of Telangana. How can he stay silent when his own Chief Minister is implementing BJP-style bulldozer governance? How can he tolerate a Congress government that has completely ignored the minorities and misled every section of society?"
KTR made the allegations while addressing a massive meeting of the Reliance Jubilee Gated Community at Shaikpet in the Jubilee Hills constituency.
"Despite having six MLC vacancies, not one seat was given to minorities. This exposes Congress's hypocrisy. Rahul Gandhi's silence only confirms his complicity," he said, as per a statement from the BRS.
KTR described Congress and BJP as the two "sides of the same coin.
"In Telangana, Congress and BJP are two sides of the same coin. Revanth Reddy is working hand in glove with the BJP. Congress leaders are openly coordinating with BJP MPs, and Congress ministers are awarding contracts to BJP-linked companies. Together, they brand strong regional parties like BRS as their 'B-team' to hide their own partnership," he said. (ANI)
