The IPL 2025 season is already halfway through, and it has been packed with thrilling moments, like batters dominating bowlers, bowlers responding with tight lines, and fielders lighting up the field with stunning catches and sharp run-outs.

Ahead of the highly anticipated clash between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC), the GT head coach Ashish Nehra was asked to name the best fielder in the world of cricket. The veteran player was quick to name as his top pick.

However, when asked to consider the all-time greats, the left-arm pacer acknowledged South African legend Jonty Rhodes as the best fielder inside the circle. He also praised Andrew Symonds and AB de Villiers for their remarkable fielding abilities. The 45-year-old reaffirmed his belief that Jadeja stands ahead of them all, not due to age, but because of his exceptional fitness and consistency on the field.

"I have seen a lot of big fielders, some are good in the outfield, some inside, like Jonty Rhodes, he is the best inside the circle. If you speak about all-round fielding, AB de Villiers' name comes in, but even Andrew Symonds and Jadeja. But, I would put Jadeja ahead of them. It's not because of his age. When he came in 2008-09 and now, he is still the same. It is his fitness, I don't know what he eats. If he is eating something different, he should tell us”, said when asked about who is the best fielder.

In the match, DC posted a commanding total of 203 runs for the loss of eight wickets, with contributions coming from across the batting lineup. For GT, Prasidh Krishna was the standout performer with the ball, delivering a brilliant four-over spell and picking up four wickets.

With a challenging target ahead, the GT batters will look to put on a strong show and chase down the total, aiming to register a win in front of their home crowd.
