A day after authorities recovered a staggering 2,900 kg of explosives and inflammable material from two rented rooms of a Kashmiri doctor in Faridabad, police launched an extensive combing and search operation across the district on Tuesday.
The operation follows a high-intensity blast near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, which left 12 people dead and many more injured. Preliminary investigations suggest a direct connection between the blast and the terror module uncovered in Faridabad.
Faridabad Police Team Camps at Al Falah University to Probe Doctor’s Activities
As per PTI, a senior police officer stated that a team has been deployed at Al Falah University, where the Kashmiri doctor, identified as Muzammil Ganaie alias Musaib (35), had been residing and working for the past three-and-a-half years. Police are interrogating university staff and fellow doctors to understand the extent of the doctor’s activities.
Additionally, multiple search teams have been deployed in the Dhauj police station area as part of a wider operation targeting possible accomplices. Investigations revealed that a cleric, recently detained by police, had rented out a room to an autorickshaw driver, who subsequently allowed Muzammil to use it for storing “luggage”.

Authorities have arrested a total of eight people, including the Kashmiri doctor and two other doctors, who are allegedly part of a white-collar terror module with links to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, spanning Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, as per PTI. Two other doctors, named Adeel and Shaheen, have also been detained in connection with the case.
