Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), through Reliance Intelligence Limited, has partnered with Google to accelerate Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption across India. The initiative aims to make advanced AI tools accessible to consumers, enterprises, and developers, aligning with Reliance’s “AI for All” vision.

Under the collaboration, Google will roll out the AI Pro plan—featuring the latest Google Gemini model—to eligible Jio users free of charge for 18 months. The offer, valued at Rs 35,100, includes access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model within the Gemini app, higher image and video generation limits through Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 models, expanded access to Notebook LM for study and research, 2 TB of cloud storage, and other AI-powered tools.
Jio Google Gemini offer: Who are eligible
The rollout will begin with Jio users aged 18 to 25 years who are on unlimited 5G plans. These users will get early access to the Google AI Pro plan as part of the partnership. Reliance said the offer will gradually expand to include every Jio customer nationwide in the shortest time possible.

Eligible users can easily activate the offer via the MyJio app. Once activated, users will get free access to Google’s AI Pro plan for 18 months, including all the advanced Gemini AI features and tools at no additional cost.
Expanding AI access across India
Both companies said the collaboration combines Reliance’s extensive digital reach with Google’s advanced AI technologies to democratise AI use and strengthen India’s digital foundation. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, said in a post on X that the partnership would bring “the best of Google AI to India,” enabling Jio users to access Gemini 2.5 Pro and AI creation tools at no extra cost.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, said Reliance Intelligence aims to make intelligence services accessible to 1.45 billion Indians, adding that the partnership with Google would help make India “AI-empowered.”
Partnership extends to AI infrastructure and cloud capabilities
As part of the broader alliance, Reliance also announced a partnership with Google Cloud to expand access to advanced AI hardware accelerators, Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). This initiative will help Indian organisations train and deploy large AI models more efficiently and support faster inferencing for high-demand projects, further strengthening India’s AI ecosystem.
RIL, India’s largest private sector company, reported a consolidated revenue of Rs 10,71,174 crore, a cash profit of Rs 1,46,917 crore, and a net profit of Rs 81,309 crore for the year ended March 31, 2025.
