In Hinduism, the materials used in worship have special importance. Roli, Akshat, fruits, flowers, and coconut are especially used in worship. Any worship is considered incomplete without these materials. It often happens that during worship, incense sticks and a diya are lit. After this, people throw away its ashes, considering it useless. If you also do this, then believe me that you are making a big mistake. Now the question is, what should be done with the ashes and burnt wick left after worship? Why should this ash not be thrown after the worship is done? Can throwing the ashes left after worship prove inauspicious? Let us know what should be done with the ashes and wick left after worship-

Keep the remaining ash and wick near the tree.
Whenever you worship, after that, hide the ashes of incense sticks and the burnt wick of the lamp under the tree. This can get rid of debt and get auspicious results.
Throw away the evil eye with ashes.
After performing the puja, collect the remaining ashes and move them 11 times over the person who is affected by the evil eye and throw them towards the north-east direction. This can get rid of the evil eye and also get rid of all the problems in your life.
Throw it in the south to remove the fear of enemies
If you always have the fear of enemies, then take the remaining ashes and wick in your hand and throw it towards the south while taking the name of your enemy. This can benefit you, and the enemy will be defeated.
Keep it inside the ground.
After the puja, collect the wick of the lamp and the ashes of the incense stick and keep them under the ground. Also, chant the mantras of Shanidev. By doing this, you will never have to face financial loss.

Tie it in a cloth and throw it in the river.
After performing the puja, the remaining ashes and wick of the lamp should not be thrown here and there, even by mistake. It is considered inauspicious. Therefore, keep both of them in a cloth and after a week, flush it in the river. This can help in getting rid of planetary defects.
