The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined the Indian team for slow over-rate in the first match of the triangular series against Sri Lanka. This match was played in Colombo on Sunday, which Harmanpreet Kaur's team won by nine wickets.

ICC imposed a fine of five percent of the match fee
ICC on Tuesday imposed a fine of five percent of the match fee on the Indian team. Giving this information, the global body of cricket said - Under Article 2.22 (related to minimum over rate) of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Team Support Personnel, players are fined five percent of their match fee for each over they fail to bowl in the allotted time.
Harmanpreet admitted the mistake.
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur accepted the offense and the proposed penalty, so there was no need for a formal hearing. On-field umpires Anna Harris and Nimali Perera, third umpire Lyndon Hannibal and fourth umpire Dedunu de Silva laid the charges.
India won both matches.
The Indian team has won both the opening matches of the triangular series. The first match was reduced to 39 overs due to rain in Colombo on Sunday. Sri Lanka's women's team, who came to bat after losing the toss, scored 147 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 38.1 overs. In reply, India scored 149 runs for the loss of one wicket in 29.4 overs and won the match with 56 balls to spare. Off-spinner Rana and left-arm spinner Charani completed their quota of eight overs each and took three wickets for 31 runs and two wickets for 26 runs respectively. Experienced off-spinner Deepti Sharma also took two wickets for 22 runs in 5.1 overs.

At the same time, in the second match of the triangular series, India defeated South Africa by 15 runs. In the match played in Colombo on Tuesday, based on Pratika Rawal's half-century, India scored 276 runs for the loss of six wickets in 50 overs. In reply, South Africa was all out for 261 runs in 49.2 overs. Tajmin Brits scored the highest 109 runs for them. Sneh Rana took five wickets while Arundhati Reddy, Sri Charani, and Deepti Sharma took one wicket each
