Summer is the season of freshness and colorful fruits. But diabetes patients need to be very careful while choosing fruits because some fruits can suddenly increase the blood sugar level. However, not every fruit is harmful. There are some seasonal fruits which have a low glycemic index. Let's know about these fruits-

Kiwi is the best option - Kiwi is rich in fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants. It does not spike blood sugar and also improves digestion.
Eat apples – Apples contain fibre and pectin, which aid in digestion and help keep blood sugar stable.
Pear is the best - Pear has less calories and more fiber, which is beneficial in diabetes. It improves digestion and keeps sugar under control
Muskmelon is healthy - Muskmelon has a high water content and it keeps the body cool as well as hydrated. Its consumption in small quantities does not increase the sugar level.
You can eat watermelon - Watermelon can also be good for diabetes patients. Although it contains natural sugar, it contains more water and electrolytes. Consuming it in limited quantity can be beneficial.

You can eat mango in small quantity - Although mango contains high amount of sugar, but if the blood sugar level is under control and the quantity is kept limited, then it can be eaten 1-2 times a week.
