After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India took strong diplomatic revenge against Pakistan without firing a bullet. India cancelled the Indus Water Treaty, closed the Attari post, banned visas for Pakistani citizens and also ordered military advisors from the High Commission to leave the country. 28 innocent civilians were brutally killed in a horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Although no terrorist organization took responsibility for this cowardly attack, India directly held Pakistan responsible for it. Within 24 hours of the attack, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this emergency meeting led by Prime Minister Modi, India did such a surgical diplomatic strike that it seems that Pakistan's back is breaking. The first decision was to cancel the Indus Water Treaty. This is the same treaty under which India was giving its share of water to Pakistan for the last 60 years. Pakistan is under lockdown due to closure of Attari post

The second big decision has been taken to close the Attari border post. Even though formal trade between India and Pakistan was already closed, some things were being transacted at the level of small traders. Now with the closure of Attari post, even these small transactions will come to a complete halt, which will cause direct loss to Pakistani traders.

Now all entry is closed due to ban on SAARC visa

Under the third major decision, India has completely ended the SAARC visa scheme for Pakistani citizens. Also, those Pakistani citizens who used to come here for family reasons will not be allowed to come to India. This will end the human-level contact between the two countries. Also, all Pakistani citizens were given an ultimatum to leave India within 48 hours.

Big action also on Pakistani High Commission

India has ordered the Defence, Army, Air Force and Navy advisors posted in the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi to leave the country within seven days. Along with this, India has also recalled all the advisors from its High Commission in Islamabad. This means that now no military or diplomatic level talks will be possible between the two countries.
