She might be gearing up for her latest fashion show at Paris Fashion Week, but Victoria Beckham has also debuted another new look that’s happening off the runway. The designer and former Spice Girl showed off her new hair colour for autumn, opting for a luxurious chocolate brown shade that enhances her hair’s natural tones.
Her go-to hair colourist Josh Wood said: “As autumn came I wanted to make her hair look more luxurious and rich. She already had great natural colour and lights. To achieve this look I used glosses to tone her ends and enhance her own natural lights.”

Whilst she might have access to some of the best in the business, Josh revealed that you can actually recreate her new hair colour yourself at home – and it’ll cost you less than £35. The two affordable products the celebrity hair colourist recommends are The Miracle Glossing Water (£15) and The Chocolate Gloss (£19) which both hail from his own haircare brand.
When used together the two products give your hair’s natural colours a boost whilst adding an enviable amount of shine – perfect for recreating Victoria’s new autumn look. To start, apply The Chocolate Gloss to your hair. It’s worth noting that this isn’t a hair dye per se, but more of a colour-boosting treatment mask, which emphasises the existing colours in your hair.

You can use the chocolate brown shade on already brunette hair, or hair that’s been dyed brown, and you should avoid using it on blonde or highlighted hair. It also won’t cover up those pesky greys. What it will do though is deposit semi-permanent colour onto your strands which lasts for up to six washes.
Whilst Josh recommends the chocolate brown shade for replicating Victoria’s hair colour, you can also pick it up in six different shades, including pink, copper and caramel. The Josh Wood Hair Gloss contains shea butter and perilla oil which nourish your hair, stop fading and give it a deep condition, boosting the shine and highlighting your hair’s natural tones.
Other brands offering similar colour-boosting treatments include Wella, with the Wella Professionals Care Color Fresh Semi-Permanent Colour Mask currently on sale for £12.60 down from £15.75. You could also pick up the Glaze Super Color Conditioning Gloss Chocolate Gleam for £15.99.
After rinsing out the Josh Wood Hair Gloss (and making sure the water is running clear) then apply The Miracle Glossing Water, which is a treatment to add instant shine and boost your hair colour’s vibrancy. You want to apply enough to fully saturate your hair, and leave it in for around five minutes before rinsing it out.
The treatment is silicone free and weightless, helping to tackle frizz and deeply hydrate each individual strand. It also contains amino-acid rich quinoa proteins which leave it soft and improve strength, whilst offering a UV filter to protect your hair colour from fading.
Once you’re all done, simply style your hair as normal, and bask in your new Victoria Beckham-approved hair. Who says you need expensive salon visits?
