Taylor Swift's fairytale engagement dress is still in stock– but not for long

In what might be the most stylish engagement announcement, and definitely the most anticipated, of the year, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce sealed the dealand captured the moment with a series of beautifully shot garden photos that look straight out of a Disney movie. And while we can't quite look past the size of the engagement ring (wow), we also have to admire her choice of outfit for the occasion.

Taylor opted for the striped silk-blend dress by Ralph Lauren, which is surprisingly still in stock on the brand's UK website– but undoubtedly not for long. The halterneck sundress with its smocked bodice and flowing A-line skirt seems to have stepped straight out of a romantic daydream, and landed squarely in Taylor's (and soon-to-be our) wardrobes.

Available now via Ralph Lauren, where you can still grab it in sizes XXS to XL before it vanishes, it’s equal parts relaxed and whimsical– signature Taylor style. But it isn’t just the dress that’s pulling focus. The rest of Taylor's engagement outfit details are equally as classy. Her warm brown sandals are from Louis Vuitton, her watch appears to be a Cartier Santos Demoiselle, which is thought to retail on second-hand sites for a whopping £12,600, and we'd hazard a guess that she's wearing a similar shade of lipstick to the one she's been choosing in recent weeks to promo her The Life of a Showgirl, thought to be Nars' Lipstick in Morocco, £27.20. As for Travis, his cable-knit Ralph Lauren polo matches Taylor's look perfectly.

We all know what happens when Swift plays dress-up—anything she wears sells out. The 'Swift Effect' has already triggered global searches for her outfit, with the dress already selling out on US sites and on Harrods' website.

However, if you can't afford to splash out £385, it's a dress you can copy for less. River Island's Pleated Bodice Bandeau Midaxi Dress on Very's website costs £32 and has a similar stripe print and ruched bodice. Missguided's Strapless Striped Midi Dress With Smocked Bodice is also a bargain at £11.16 and gives a Taylor-like look. For a bit more money, Faithfull's Sofie Maxi Dress Hanne Gingham Espresso is £250 and has the same floaty skirt and cinched waist design.
