Alex Jones has made her comeback to The One Show following a "heartbreaking" conclusion to her holiday.
The BBC show returned to telly screens on Monday (July 28) after its summer break.
Presenters Alex and JB Gill were joined on the iconic green sofa by guests Freddie Highmore from The Good Doctor and Anna Friel from Unforgivable, both of whom discussed their latest projects.

Starting off the live broadcast, Alex greeted viewers with: "Hello there and welcome to your Monday One Show live on BBC One and iPlayer with JB Gill.."
JLS star JB chimed in: "and Alex Jones. Now we're back to share our evenings with you after an amazing few weeks of sport here on the BBC.", reports Wales Online.
The pair then went on to discuss England's Euros victory over Spain on Sunday (July 27) before engaging in conversation with guests Freddie and Anna.
This comes after Alex disclosed that her family's kitten Sabrina was severely injured after being hit by a car.
The distraught presenter shared the emotional news from the Lake District, where she and her family had taken a delayed holiday on the recommendation of celebrity vet Noel Fitzpatrick, who intervened to treat Sabrina's fractured pelvis.

Despite the ordeal, Alex confirmed that her kitten had undergone surgery and was now on the mend.
Detailing what had transpired earlier in the week, Alex also informed her followers: "We think our gorgeous little kitten, Sabrina, was hit by a car yesterday evening but despite breaking her pelvis, she managed to crawl back to the house to tell us that she was hurt."
After receiving emergency care, Sabrina was moved to Professor Noel Fitzpatrick's specialist veterinary clinic for further treatment.
Alex referred to the Supervet star as "the light at the end of a pretty scary 24 hours", expressing her gratitude for his quick action and support during what she called a distressing time for her young family.
She shared that Noel had suggested they continue with their planned trip, saying: "We were due to come to the Lake District the middle of last week and obviously all of this happened, but we did eventually make it."
Noel said, you know, she needs to stay with me anyway so you might as well go, because the kids were traumatised by the whole thing and disappointed - so we did come, and I'm so glad."
Since 2010, Alex has been a co-presenter on The One Show, initially teaming up with Matt Baker and later working with various co-hosts including JB, Roman Kemp and Ronan Keating.
The One Show airs weeknights on BBC One at 7pm
