In this match, Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl first. He said, "We will bowl first. The pitch looks good, and there was dew last night. From the first round, we were thinking that this is a knockout tournament, so nothing changed. The Abu Dhabi pitch was completely different. This is a normal match, just another game." Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy have returned to the Indian playing XI in place of Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana.
