Alejandro Garnacho is keen on a move to Chelsea, and the Blues are equally interested in him. However, it remains uncertain whether he will be the next player to leave Manchester United's 'bomb squad'.
Among the five players Ruben Amorim distanced from United's first team this summer due to their desire to leave, only Barcelona loanee Marcus Rashford has departed. Garnacho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho - ironically back in Manchester after Chelsea opted to pay a fine to cancel their summer transfer obligation - all remain at Old Trafford.
Argentinian international Garnacho appears to be the most likely candidate for the next departure. Despite being a regular under Amorim since his arrival, the Portuguese manager has grown tired of the 21-year-old's attitude and the drama that accompanies him.
"I think with Garnacho, you can understand and you can see that he's talented, he's a really talented boy," Amorim commented earlier in the summer. However, Garnacho's post-match remarks after being a substitute in the Europa League final were the last straw.
"I have the feeling - and I think it's clear - that Garnacho wants a different thing with a different leadership and I can understand that," Amorim added. "So I don't think it's a problem. Sometimes you adapt to one guy and you have the connection. Other times you want a new challenge."

Chelsea believe that Garnacho, who was not included in United's pre-season tour of the US, can excel for them in the Premier League. Garnacho shares this belief.
He is eager to make the move to Stamford Bridge and has already agreed personal terms for a transfer to west London.
The question remains whether Chelsea will meet United's £50m demand. This is significantly lower than the £80m that the Red Devils demanded in January when Napoli showed interest, but circumstances have changed; United are evidently less keen to retain him, while Napoli instead opted for Noa Lang.
Moreover, United could benefit from some financial inflow having splashed over £200m on their revamped attack featuring Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.
Chelsea are eager to finalise the deal as soon as possible, but still wish to pay less than the asking price. United have so far maintained that this is the price - a take it or leave it ultimatum.
As a result, Garnacho continues to train in red - away from United's first team - rather than in blue as Chelsea's latest high-profile signing.
