One of Tom Hardy's films has been labelled the best of the past 25 years, but it is only available to stream on one platform.
Mad Max: Fury Road is a 2015 Australian post-apocalyptic action film co-written, co-produced and directed by George Miller, who collaborated with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris on the screenplay. The fourth instalment in the Mad Max franchise stars Charlize Theron, with Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough, Zoë Kravitz, Abbey Lee, and Courtney Eaton, alongside Hardy.
The film's synopsis reads: "Years after the collapse of civilisation, the tyrannical Immortan Joe enslaves apocalypse survivors inside the desert fortress, the Citadel. When the warrior Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) leads the despot's five wives in a daring escape, she allies with Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy), a loner and former captive. Fortified in the massive, armoured truck, the War Rig, they try to outrun the ruthless warlord and his henchmen in a deadly high-speed chase through the Wasteland."

The film has been listed at number one in Rotten Tomatoes' listing Critics Pick the Best Movies of the Last 25 Years. It has an impeccable 97% score on the movie review platform, with the critics' consensus stating: "With exhilarating action and a surprising amount of narrative heft, Mad Max: Fury Road brings George Miller's post-apocalyptic franchise roaring vigorously back to life."
One audience watcher said: "If you get a chance to watch this masterpiece in the movie theatre, do it. One of the greatest action movies ever made," while another said it was "the best action movie of the 21st century".
"This film has the best cinematography I've ever seen. Not just CGI, but real set pieces and exploding cars being dragged under the 18th wheel. The two-hour adrenaline rush will undoubtedly leave the viewer ready for a nap by the film's epic conclusion," added a third.
A fourth viewer added: "When I watched this movie, I was sucked into it. A strong female lead character, sci-fi, action, all of these things and more are what make this movie great. This is my favourite movie ever."
Mad Max: Fury Road is available to stream on NOW TV.
