One Emmerdale and Coronation Street actress has a very famous family - including her cousin Sir Paul McCartney. Amy Robbins has appeared in all three of the major soaps, playing Christina Boyd in Corrie from 2023 until 2025, Jane Carter in EastEnders and defence barrister Milligan in nine episodes of Emmerdale in 2022.
She's also starred in Casualty, Holby City, Doctors and Hollyoaks in her extensive soap career, as well as her most famous role as Dr Jill Weatherill in The Royal. In her real life, though, Amy comes from a family of hugely influential people. After training at RADA, Amy launched the Granada TV sketch show The Robbins with her brother Ted and sisters Jane, Emma and Kate.
Ted went on to have a huge number of comedy roles, acting in everything from Little Britain to Benidorm and Birds of a Feather. Kate Robbins, meanwhile, launched a singing career and became a prolific voice actor, spending nine years on satirical comedy Spitting Image.
Kate is mother to I'm A Celeb star Emily Atack, who she shares with her ex-husband Keith - making Amy Emily's aunt.
As for Amy's other sisters, Jane became a well-known sculptor, though she was briefly in a band alongside Kate who represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest, Prima Donna. The band placed third in 1980 with their track Love Enough for Two.
Jane has produced artwork for television, including a nine-foot sculpture of Fred Dibnah and a life-sized statue of Linda McCartney.
Emma was a well-known member of pop girl group The Sheilas, who soared to fame promoting car insurance brand Sheilas' Wheels in 2007.
But her siblings aren't the only famous prongs of Amy's family. In 2003 she tied the knot with her co-star Robert Daws, who played her on-screen husband Dr Gordon Ormerod in The Royal. The pair went on to welcome three children together.
And Amy's first cousin once removed? The Beatles star Paul McCartney. Her grandfather Ted even served as secretary of the Football Association of Wales for more than 35 years.
Speaking of her famous family, Amy said: "We are never competitive with each other and we are all very close. My dad, Michael, worked in variety all his life and my mum, Elizabeth, sang. Showbusiness is in our DNA, it's a family business that has lasted generations."
She added that her brother Ted gave her huge advice for her starring role on Corrie, with Ted telling her "not to underestimate the feeling of standing in the Rovers for the first time."
"He said it would be overwhelming and he was right. His other piece of advice was not to call William Roache 'Ken' like he did. Ted bumped into William and accidentally said 'Hello Mr Barlow'".
