The Shark PowerPro Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is reduced to £189.99, down from £279.99, saving shoppers £90, or 32% of the original price. Those who own one have described it as exceeding their cleaning expectations too, even if there aren't pets in the house.

This Shark model comes equipped with FloorDetect technology, so it can figure out and adjust the brush-roll speed and suction for the surface. Whether it's pet hair, or stray human hair, it has anti-wrap technology which removes hair from the brush roll as it cleans, so no tangling.

According to Shark, it gives users up to 50 minutes of runtime (in eco-mode with the non-motorised tool) on a single charge. Banging into furniture or having to move furniture to clean under it or alongside it is a thing of the past too, with its flexible design.

It weighs in at 5.6KG and includes the FurFins Pet Tool, Crevice Tool and Upholstery Tool to get into corners more easily. LED lights mean no dirt in darker areas will be missed, and a removable battery goes a long way to ensuring easy, convenient charging anywhere.

Another option for homeowners is the Hoover HF1+ Anti-Hairwrap Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner from Argos. Costing £140, this cordless vacuum is bagless, with an empty-release bin, and it comes with a pet tool. It runs for a half hour in standard mode, or 45 minutes in handheld, and has a turbo boost function, where users can press a button for some extra power.

With a large range to select from on Dunelm too, there is the Ewbank Airstorm Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner for £200. This includes the charging station and accessories, and it has a 0.6L capacity dust container. It weighs 2.6kg, so it is light to ferry around the house, and has dust sensors that adjust cleaning power automatically.

But for Shark owners, their vacuum has served them well, with a host of five-star reviews online from over 450 users. One pet owner said: "This vacuum is amazing, it's made cleaning so much easier and I actually enjoy it now. I have a shedding dog who brings dirt into the house constantly and I use this almost daily.
