Manchester United are preparing for the final friendly of their pre-season tour of the United States against Everton on Sunday on the back of an impressive win over Bournemouth. The Red Devils enjoyed a confidence-boosting 4-1 victory over Andoni Iraola's side in Chicago and are now vying to make it three triumphs from three in the Premier League Summer Series.
Ruben Amorim has expressed his delight with the progress of his current players and the club's recruitment of new ones this summer. Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have arrived from Wolves and Brentford, respectively, for a combined £133.5million.
Amorim still wants a new striker and midfielder, while a goalkeeper will also be on the agenda if Andre Onana or Altay Bayindir depart.
United are targeting RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who is yet to make a decision on his future amid rival interest from Newcastle United.
The Old Trafford giants likely need player sales to fund a pursuit of Sesko, although they can go through after his arrival, as long as it is before the 2025/26 PSR window deadline.
Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia remain exiled at Carrington as they explore a move away.
