Finnish World War 2 action movie Sisu is a hidden gem, having hit No 1 on the Netflix UK film chart last year.
Set during 1944's Lapland War, the original film follows a Finnish Army commando turned gold prospector attempting to defend himself from being robbed and murdered by a Waffen-SS platoon.
Influenced by the Spaghetti Westerns of Sergio Leone and Rambo First Blood, this gory flick received critical acclaim upon release and is now getting a sequel.
Written and directed once again by Jalmari Helander, Sisu: Road to Revenge stars Jorma Tommila, returning as Aatami Korpi, the John Wick-esque gold prospector.
But now World War 2 is over, this time around, he's not taking on the Nazis, but the Soviets, and specifically Stephen Lang's Red Army commander.
Sisu 2's official synopsis reads: "SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE is a wall-to-wall cinematic action event, a sequel to the original sleeper hit SISU. Returning to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war, "the man who refuses to die" (Jorma Tommila) dismantles it, loads it on a truck, and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honour. When the Red Army commander who killed his family (Stephen Lang) comes back hellbent on finishing the job, a relentless, eye-popping cross-country chase ensues - a fight to the death, full of clever, unbelievable action set pieces."
Sisu: Road to Revenge hits cinemas on November 21, 2025.
