Silchar: Bengali New Year (Poila Baisakh) was celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm across the Barak Valley region on Tuesday. A colourful ‘prabhat pheri' filled the streets of Silchar in the morning, with participants singing Tagore's songs, reports BB Goswami. The rally saw contributions from various linguistic communities, cultural groups, and sports associations.
