Mangaluru: "My first opportunity to represent Bharat at a world forum couldn't have been better than this," said Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta on being appointed to the all-party delegation formed in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor.
The Union ministry of parliamentary affairs announced that Capt Chowta will be part of the all-party delegation, which is set to visit key partner countries, including members of the UN Security Council, later this month. The delegation will carry forth to the world the country's strong message of zero tolerance against terrorism, according to the ministry. The group involving Capt Chowta will be visiting Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia.
The MP said that as a fauji, he was extremely proud of the way the nation avenged the cowardly terror attack with Operation Sindoor. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving the opportunity to be the voice of his vision and mission as part of this delegation, to carry forth our strong message of zero-tolerance against terrorism.
BJP Dakshina Kannada district president Sathish Kumpala said he considers the selection of Capt Chowta to the delegation a matter of joy and pride for the district. "Capt Chowta's selection is very appropriate, as he served the nation in the Army. Our country's military demonstrated India's strength to the entire world by eliminating terrorists hiding in Pakistan, showing that the New India is different, with zero tolerance towards terrorism and a firm stance against threats," he added.
Now, the all-party delegation is visiting several countries to expose the facade of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and Operation Sindoor. In this context, Capt Chowta is praised as the most capable person to showcase our military strength and capability to the world," Kumpala said.
