The Detroit Pistons secured a stunning 100-94 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Monday night. After collapsing late in Game 1, the Pistons bounced back to even the series 1-1 ahead of Game 3 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Cade Cunningham led the charge, pouring in 33 points to keep Detroit alive in the opening-round clash. Despite poor shooting from beyond the arc, the Pistons held strong down the stretch to silence the Garden crowd.

Jalen Brunson delivered another high-scoring performance for the New York Knicks in Game 2, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. Playing 43 minutes and 39 seconds, Brunson poured in a game-high 37 points. He went 12-for-27 from the field and knocked down four of his twelve three-point attempts.

Brunson added 7 assists, trying to create opportunities for his teammates, but the support around him fell short. He finished the game with just 3 total rebounds and committed 6 turnovers, which proved costly.

While Brunson kept the Knicks within striking distance, other key players had a hard time finding rhythm. Karl-Anthony Towns scored just 10 points and missed both of his three-point attempts. OG Anunoby also struggled with efficiency, going 4-for-10 from the field and failing to connect on any of his four three-point shots. Their combined lack of scoring took pressure off the Pistons’ defense.
