With 100 MHz each in Gujarat and Mumbai, alongside 50 MHz allocations in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, Airtel aims to reinforce its position in the next-generation telecom space.
Regulatory Approvals PendingThe deal, structured under India’s Spectrum Trading Guidelines, remains subject to standard regulatory approvals before final implementation. Once cleared, Airtel is expected to utilise the high-frequency 26 GHz band to optimise enterprise solutions, consumer broadband, and industrial applications.
The move underscores Airtel’s commitment to scaling its 5G infrastructure , ensuring enhanced connectivity across metros and Tier-2 cities. With the demand for low-latency, high-speed internet rising, the spectrum acquisition positions Airtel as a stronger competitor in India’s evolving telecom market.
